Getting the Shape Right
If you’re annealing wine glasses, you know the struggle. The heat has to be perfectly even, or you’re looking at internal stress and cracks. It’s a nightmare. The problem is that if your furnace has odd corners or narrow channels, a straight tube is going to leave you with cold spots. We fix that by bending and cutting quartz tubes to the exact length and shape you need. This lets you get the heat source closer to the glass without worrying about things touching and breaking. You get a much tighter fit, which means you can pack more heating elements into the same small area.
The Technical Side of Things
Here’s the thing: when we change the length or shape of a lamp, it changes the electrical resistance. We don’t just bend the tube and call it a day. We recalibrate the wattage and voltage so your heat density stays exactly where it needs to be. But you’ll want to double-check your power supply before we start the build. A high-density array puts a lot more load on your wiring. If we push the wattage too high in a tiny space, your cooling fans are going to have to work overtime to keep the chassis from overheating.

We use industry-standard connectors, so these are basically drop-in replacements. Whether you need a specific U-shape or something precise down to the millimeter, the goal is to kill those annoying gaps in your heating zone. You shouldn’t have to tear apart and redesign your entire furnace frame just to make a standard lamp fit. We put the heat exactly where the glass is. Simple as that.
